Masoom rape case: PM assures action

As nation is outraged, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has taken a note of the barbaric incident. A statement issued by the Prime Minister's office last night said the PM is deeply 'disturbed ' to hear the news of Masoom. Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Friday spoke to the Delhi lieutenant governor and asked him to take "strictest possible action" against erring police officials who were seen slapping a girl protester.
