He loves me the way a net
Loves the bird
A quick filling
A quicker escape—
The loud cast of his seductions
Meets my flight of air.

But she loves him…
Tying her attentions
To him—his breath
And pursuit for challenge
Fixed with her care—

Her graceful fingers
Adoring his frays
And mending the knots
To strengthen the net
He casts for me.
