Masharia kanyari - Slightly Corrupted

This Year I found my way back to the gym,
This time not to tone my abs; but to fix my attitude,
My ego needed to lose a pound or two,

I stumbled upon true love and a marriage certificate,
I learned to embrace the truth and not simply face it,
I became my brothers' keeper and paid all my dues,

I found a cause to fight for and better drugs to abuse,
I entrusted to karma they who denied me my rights,
And modified my stance to humour those who threatened my interests,

I ended my quest for a lofty niche as a literally artist,
and Writing simple themes that commoners can relate to,
I figured I'd stick to my guns; remain faithful to the listening few,

It was a good year; I grew in leaps and bounds,
I'm working from my nest now; incubating my dreams,
All thanks to God; for being the wind beneath my wings.
