You gave me life, you gave me hope
You're the reason I am not yet hanging on the rope
Through fire and flames, you were my friend

How to get out of this mess
Without you, I would be even less
I am what I am because of you
But, it's my fault too
I've tried so hard to be your match
I failed. I could not catch
The true you. And now I'm lost
I am nothing but a ghost
I am what people want me to be
I will never be free
You do not believe me
I gave you my minds key
You could've saved me
And you threw it away
You gave me life, it was a sunny May
You took my hope and chased it away....
