Mary Nagy - ~The Baseball Kid~

The season started quiet.
His team was just so-so.
What got into this baseball kid
we may never know!

He went from throwing pitches,
to pitching ''in yer face! ''
He didn't trot around the field,
he flew around each base!

He smoked the ball right by em.
They barely saw the ball.
The batter just stood silent
as the ump hollared his call....

STRIKE THREE! Oh yeah! He's on it!
This baseball kid's on fire!
At ten he stands at 5 ft 2......
ID him....I'm no liar!

He steps up to the batters box
and gives his mom a wink.
The pitch comes in and with a WHACK!
we see the fielders shrink!

Over the fence it's GOING,
GOING.......GOING.........GONE!
This kid might hit the majors
and be famous before long!
