Mary Elizabeth - Inside I'm Dying

With thoughts of my death in my head everyday
It’s getting much harder to think of a way
To come up with a reason of why I should stay.

I’m smile on the outside, on the inside I die
I run away, hide my face, find a corner and cry
Coming up with a way to tell you goodbye.

But then a small light peeks through my dark mind
I follow the light and it’s you that I find
Perhaps for that moment I don’t feel left behind.

So I will go on and live one more day
All you have done is stopped me today
You did all you could, I’m still not okay.

I have stayed alive for the sake of the rest
Why should I stay here and be so depressed
If death would bring peace would it be for the best?

I guess for now I’ll just keep on trying
So I’ll laugh on the outside but I will be lying
I’ll make you all happy, but inside I’m dying.
