You are my constant company

a perfect reflection of my being

as you mimic me in all my actions

cast as extended shadow of myself



You hide when the sun is on my head

as if to disappear leaving me on my own

it is when I almost forget where I stand

with none around when times are rough



Yet when the sun begins to hide its light

and life seems hopeless for me to tackle

I soon realized that you are at my back

to remind me that I still have the chance



With you beside and around me

I feel that I am still much alive

to face challenges in this life

if you're gone I'm so dead
