Windows doors frames
Heat trams and subways
Cars moving slow
Cars moving fast
Cars parking
Men in blue with
Checks in yellow walking
Thirsty. Starving.
Get off. Get on. Go or stay.
Here and there. Up and down: Away
Faces. One. Many. Mine, theirs: Any.
Child's dream soft, mother's breathing heavy.
Beggars. Give.
Jobless, homeless, sick and stinking.
Money smoke money
Money for drink
Money for smoke for money.
Cars again. Sound of horns.
Outside noise. Inside noise.
Agony in every voice. Boring.
Growing tired. Calling silent
Calling.
