Here I am
This is all I will ever be

No more of the frightened one
No more of the hidden one
No more pain inside of me caused by your ignorance
No more of the cage you’ve imprisoned me in

Let me fly among the stars
Let me dance through flowers newly born
Make me feel the sun shine on my shoulders
For never have I felt freedom like this before

Here I am
No more questioning myself

Filled by the words you made me write
Finally I can let them slide through my hands
Giving birth to a new horizon
Leading me to where I should be

To where I can come down
Where there are no more faked dreams
Nor untruthful promises to be my security
Where the simple joy brightens with serenity

Here I am
Finally what I am is true

Born out of the ashes of my former existence
I rose to be free and within the fire in my soul
I am burning for this life I have chosen
To be free of the spell you put me under

If these words seem hurting to you, I guess that’s what they are
Don’t feel upset about them
Because then you still don’t understand that everything I am
Today was born out of all those things you’ve done

Here I am
Still not blaming you for what you are
Still loving you for what you’ve done
