Martin Freeman: We're all Bilbo

STORY: The second part of director Peter Jackson's adaptation of J.R.R. Tolkien's "The Hobbit" will be "big", actor Martin Freeman said on Tuesday (December 10), one day after the film's Europe premiere.

During an interview with Reuters Television in Berlin, Freeman said we all have a little bit of his character Bilbo in us.

"In a culture where everyone goes extreme sports and everyone can travel around the world now, you ask people if you'd like to go to Afghanistan or Iraq. People don't want to f**king go. Do you know what I mean? And that's why we consider the people who do go there very brave and quite heroic, whether we agree with it or not. As individuals, it's a hell of a decision to make. Most of us don't want to go there, me included. And Bilbo is going into a situation where he knows it's life and death. It's not snow boarding, you could get killed.
