marriam anderson - Hidden outrage

Description
Deafening
And the screams of the women,
Heart-breaking
But I'm quiet,
Alone
And the foundations shake
My world, my safe haven
Crumbling beneath my feet
Boots tramping up the stairs
Then it is quiet………..
and my heart sinks.
sinks.
it sinks so far down that
I don't know if I'll ever be able to reclaim it
how long do I stay there I don't know
but
when I come out
there is nothing
and I am all
alone.
