Marlin Nightingale - Youth

Those days when passion scaled the cliffs,
And energy, like sun,
Burst ready in the hero's chest;
A life not lived, not done.

When romance hung, a dewy drop,
Upon the green-hued leaf...
Reflections of another place,
Surreal, ephemeral peace.

Life, it thunders from beneath,
Convulsing all that i can see,
And standing on this earthy ball,
So close, i feel it holding me.
