The S&P 500 fell zero-point-six percent to 2,878.
The Nasdaq lost more than half-a-percent to 7,909.
In South Korea,... the benchmark KOSPI added three points, or just over zero-point-one percent, to close at 2,213.
The tech-heavy KOSDAQ rose two-thirds of one percent to 756-point-eight.
