Mark R Slaughter - Oblivion

I'm lying in oblivion -
A wondrous state to be.
Enshrined in my own idiom
That's quintessentially me;

But introspection saunters in -
It's clouding up my mind,
As thoughts of doubt amass within -
My confidence now blind.

I climb the walls with hair on end
In tempest like the storm
And loose my grip to now descend
To deep oblivion once again,
Tho' now in silent form.
