Mark Clinard - Saying, 'Goodbye'
0 Views • Jun 18, 2014
Description
To hear you breathe and sigh
Run I would in every way
And embellish your reasons why
To hold you in my arms again
And see your awkward smile
Tongue and cheek against my chin
Your attention I would beguile
Busy work I lay aside
Your toys would be my jewel
'Go' would be my battle cry
Our hearts would find renewal
Be as it may I am willfully told
Only could I have another day
Death would find its weary scold
Over again, I would loose my way
Rest your eyes from weary pain
Your presence always near
Sorrow, one day will refrain
And joy will come to bear
