Mark Anderson - What do you say?

What do you say to a man who lost his wife?
A young woman befallen in the prime of life.
Neither words nor sympathy can ever express,
The loss, the shock, confusion and sadness.

We selfishly want known to him our own feelings,
When it's his life thats been changed-forever being.
The hard truth the bereaved must be willing to conform,
In his depths of sorrow he has a duty he must perform:

His job is to comfort the living,
Take care of the children-live life fulfilling.
Honor his wife's spirit by savoring the memories,
Know they will meet again holding hands under the trees.

This final joining
Shall be at God's willing.
