Marilyn Lott - Waitin’ for Winter

I put the lawn mower away
I don’t need it anymore
There is a chill now in the air
And I know what is in store

As I drive along the roads
Or take a relaxing walk
I notice the golds and yellows
And tall brown garden stalks

The garden vegetables picked
Frozen now or canned
Pumpkins orange and bright
For all the Halloween plans

Yes, I’m waiting for winter
Snow will thrill every girl and boy
But in the meantime I so love
Autumn and all it’s joy!
