Marilyn Lott - Pain

It was an accidental house fire
That took a tragic turn
And because of this there was
Pain caused from massive burns

Steve was so very brave
As treatments were carefully done
To create healthy skin again as
Loving parents watched their son

His body was charred, you see
And he had to be taken to
A special burn center to use
Processes to help his skin renew

This handsome man went through
So much anguish, as you can see
It makes us realize how lucky
Our daily lives can be

There are, thankfully, people
Who devote their lives to those
Who are in terrible fires that
Burn right through their clothes

We thank God for looking over
Burn victims like Steve was
And for those devoted professionals
Who commit to this important cause!
