I feel so lucky when I rise from my bed
There is one thing on my mind
And that is to look at the morning sky
I’m thrilled about what I will find

Mesmerized, I watch the sun come up
With colors truly earth-shaking
Blazing as though the sky’s on fire
The perfect time for some picture taking

I’m excited about every single sunrise
For each has a different look
Colors and designs are never the same
Perfectly created for my picture book

I’m so thankful for the enormous beauty
That is right before my eyes
As I enjoy with true appreciation
My own backyard sunrise!
