Marilyn Lott - A Walk with God

So many times it seems that
We feel very empty and alone
We may have feelings of guilt
And we need to somehow atone

There are always losses eventually
For that’s the way of life
Amongst the happy times
We will have to face some strife

Folks come and go as well
Changes have to be made
We make mistakes, of course
Left when we should have stayed

But we don’t have to travel
A road of empty sod
We can always make the choice
To take a walk with God

For He is our very best friend
He loves us to the core
If only we open our hearts
When He knocks upon our door

So try to remember, my friend
To give Him a simple nod
When you need a trusty friend
Just take a walk with God!
