Perched on a cliff
Her lifetime runs like a movie
before her eyes
Time is not defined
She loses track
Sun greets moon
Still she remains
motionless
Under a canopy of stars
Jack Frost bites
She shivers
Tears as cold as ice
run in rivulets
As dawn appears
She can't decide
how her story will end
She feels the damp grass
beneath her
Reality dawns
as little birds chirp
in welcome to a brand new day
She decides...
She will not waste it!
