It isn’t the early morning,
Nor the music on the radio
It isn’t the fallen leaves
Dancing in the gentle breeze

It isn’t the smell of coffee
Neither the warmth of the toast
It isn’t this little bird
Offering his friendly chat

It isn’t this thin long arm
Of the sun touching my window
Nor the noisy waking street
Invaded by little kids

Everything smiles in my world
With every new born daylight
And I welcome with a smile
The perceptions of the day

But it is not the fresh day
That awakens this new joy,
It is you, my gentle soul
Whispering that life is good!
