Mariah Smith - Pride

my pride will get the best of me
who is this animal i have become?
lack of faith. hope. integrety.
lost in a sky of pride, up so high, even the almighty is surprised
hate. wells up within me. so deep the devil only peeks.
these scars i cut deeper as the torment goes on. being damages, its not so easy to fix. the person i want to be screams inside of me. rising to their expectations is more than i bargained for and im not sorry but ill never come clean. this pride, its got the best of me and all thats left is one big mess.
