Mariah Carey Explains Disastrous NYE Performance

Description
But she wants to set the record straight.
The 46-year-old gave an interview with the Associated Press explaining that what happened to her was unfair and that she was victimized and vilified.
Carey detailed that she was more upset about the fact that people didn’t understand what she went through during her performance fiasco, than the mishap itself.
She recalled the moment her ear piece failed… asking people to imagine it’s no longer there so you can’t hear the music, so if you can’t hear it, how can you sing to it?
Then she added that if her ears were in, maybe she could have heard music and done a few ad-libs and the show would have gone on. It just caused her a wreck of a New Year’s Eve and that’s fine, so long as it didn’t ruin anybody else’s holiday.
Mariah questioned why there are different rules for her and then said it’s like she’s the only one out there that has to make five million comebacks.
Like her or not, she might have a point.
