Margret Jacobsen - Lost Youth
6 Views • Jun 16, 2014
Description
Of near forgotten youth
Eyes that have seen the world with all it beauty
And all despair
Fingers that have felt the warmth of summer love
And the harsh cold of winters past
Arms that were once strong and able
Withering to shrunken twigs
Shoulders that took the weight of the world
Now droop from years of neglect
Skin that looked so fresh and smooth
A long lost beauty now wrinkled and drab
Hair once long and flowing
Turned into brittle straw
How age takes away our youth on the outside
But inside it never wanes
