Description

She had no home to call her own.
She lived in the streets where no splendor shone.
An incessant hunger for something to eat.
A morsel of bread would be a great treat.
A place to sleep and to keep warm.
Not to always be wary of harm.
A lady on the corner said, 'hello',
befriending a woman she didn't know.
'Let me feed you and give you a place to sleep.'
The young woman's heart broke; she began to weep.
'Why would you take in a stranger? '
'Because of God's Son born in a manger.'
Jesus loves you more than I can tell.
'Come drink the living water from His well.'
He's compassionate and full of grace.
His love for you shows on His face.
Drink of His water and you will know.
His life through you will gently flow.
On she had trudged from places unknown,
finally to find a place of her own.
