Breakthrough is an international media organization that uses popular culture to teach human rights. Our mediums include animations, podcasts, music videos, documentaries, video games, theatre arts, and visual workshops.

In the United States, our campaign "Value Families," focuses on detention and deportation, and exposes how immigrant families and communities of color are being separated and destroyed as a result of the harsh 1996 anti-immigration laws.

In India, Breakthrough's award winning multi-media campaign, "What Kind of Man are You?" focuses on women, HIV/AIDS, and the growing incidence of infections within marriage. Many of the more than two million positive women in the country have been infected by their husbands. Our education campaign creates a much needed dialogue on safe sex, fidelity, and gender discrimination.
