Crushed and torn my heart lays broken
Sometimes I wish we’d never spoken.
Why won’t this pain just go away?
It always seems there’s more to say.
I never imagined the pain I’d bring
Trying to hold on to each little thing.
Tears are pouring down my face
As I imagine your embrace.
I look up at the pouring sky
And wonder ‘How did something so beautiful die? ’
