Manager Poet - Mean People

It seems there is no stopping them.
By word and deed they condemn.
Confronting them only creates a flap.
Nice people put up with so much crap.

Surely there is a way to stop this menace.
It is a global problem much like tennis.
Mean people come in no certain color or shape.
They come across so much like a verbal ape.

Surely their goal is to end one’s joy here on earth.
Don’t they understand that we all have worth?
Bringing us down seems to be their cause.
Conversation resorts to pointing out our flaws.

If you’re tired of mean people, don’t give in.
Don’t be mean in return, much to their chagrin.
One more line and mean people go away.
Look into your soul and do a quick survey.
