Man With Rainbow Flag Confronts PEGIDA Demonstrators

Demonstrators from the group LEGIDA, Leipzig’s off-shoot of the anti-Islam PEGIDA movement, were confronted by a man with a rainbow flag at their demonstration in the city on Wednesday, January 21. The flag, often a symbol of gay pride, but also of broader inclusiveness, was carried by a man that witnesses described as of Arab descent. The man was part of a counter-demonstration.
