Description

The Cracow plant is one of the latest additions to the locations in the MAN Truck & Bus AG production network. It was opened in October 2007 after a construction period of barely two years.

The product spectrum covers trucks in the TGS and TGX series with a gross vehicle weight of over 16 tons. They are assembled as 2, 3 and 4-axle vehicles in different configurations such as semitrailer tractors, vehicles for body manufacturers or all-wheel drive vehicles. The main focus of the sales markets for this plant is Eastern Europe and the CIS. Though vehicles are also supplied to Western Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Africa.

Cracow is a pure assembly plant, which means the main components such as axles, engines and cabs are supplied by other MAN plants or from external suppliers.

The efficiency of the Cracow plant is demonstrated in its assembly and logistics processes that are consistently based on the principles of lean production and which are continuously refined. Great value is placed on the sustainable implementation of the MAN production system. Well trained and committed employees are the key to this.

But the Cracow plant would also like to fulfill its responsibility to the environment and society and present itself as an attractive employer. Therefore the location is actively involved in various regional projects as well as in education, and it places great value on environmental protection: it is one of the few Polish companies with an environment management system certified compliant with the high standards of the EMAS system since 2011 and certificate OHSAS 18001:2007 since 2014.

The most valuable resource of the Cracow plant are its employees. Together with the other Polish MAN locations, the Cracow plant has twice been awarded the certificate "TOP Employers Polska".
