Man's 'hoverboard' gift ends in darkness

An amusing video has emerged of a man trying to ride a segway (aka 'hoverboard') - falling and smashing the lights on his way down.

The footage, captured on Monday, shows the man trying out his new christmas present for the first time and taking the unexpected tumble.

"We all had a right laugh but my mate felt guilty so he fixed the light as he pulled it from the ceiling," the filmer wrote online.
