Man hit by cab while running after snatchers

MANILA – A man was hit by a taxi while he was running after several minors who snatched his valuables before dawn on Monday. The man was seen running after two minors who snatched his wallet and tablet computer. While chasing the two minors, the unidentified victim was hit by a taxi driven by Ireneo Supe at the corner of G. Araneta and E. Rodriguez Avenues. Supe, for his part, said it was the victim who crashed his taxi and that the latter sustained injuries after falling onto the ground. Witnesses said the minors were notorious snatchers in the area, and had been apprehended several times by the police, only to end up being released by social workers. – report from Francis Faulve, ABS-CBN News
