Man dies as floods hit UK

Torrential rain and high winds across much of the United Kingdom have caused widespread flooding with more severe weather on the way.

A man has died in Chew Stoke near Bath after his car became wedged under a bridge, rescue workers failed to reach him in time.

The British Environment Agency has issued 71 flood warnings in England and Wales.
