Man City Goes Back Into Second

(CNN)Smarting from a run of defeats that undermined its English Premier League title defense, Manchester City eased past struggling Southampton Sunday to end the year on a high note. The 3-1 victory has lifted City above Tottenham Hotspur, shock 3-1 losers to Wolves Saturday, into second place in the standings but still seven points adrift of Liverpool.
