When two people
Profess their love
And decide to
Unite in a sacred bond,

I t is an unwritten contract;
We will be a witness
To one another’s lives,
It will not go unnoticed.

You will get your space
And I mine,
We will be together
But follow our hearts.

We may take off the mask,
That we wear before the world.
But we will have the trust,
We will not think less of each other.

If one of us decides,
To bare his soul,
We can do so with faith
That we will not be judged.

At times we may
Have some secrets,
We are not ready
To share.

But we will give space,
And wait
And not feel
Insecure and scared.

The fact
That we have chosen
One another
To spend
The rest of our lives with,

Gives calm reassurance,
And takes away the feverishness
And insecurities.
Leaving the mind at peace.
