The Sun

The Sun Setting in the west
Has stolen my peace…….
And is slipping out of sight!
I hanker after its disappearance
Missing warmth…………
It will rise else where
And smile on the lucky there
Left on this window
With my waving hand
I glance at the clock
To tick away my night!
Till next
The Sun shall
Shine my way……..
Love leaps into my eyes
Seeing the light in his!
All distance disappears
As he smiling gathers in his arms
Making all the waiting
Worth the while!
