malaika was born on 23 august 1973 to a Punjabi father and malayali catholic mother...she completed her secondary education at swami vivekanand school in chembur. She completed her college education from jai hind college..khan was selected as one of the MTV VJs she rose to an interviewer .recognizing her potential MTV india gave her prime time roles in their shows "love line" and "style check". She also hosted award ceremonies and concerts on the TV channel.
