MakeSpace: How To Upload 'Your Closet In The Cloud'
Description
Sam Rosen, founder and chief executive officer of MakeSpace, discusses how his startup is the dropbox for physical items. MakeSpace is a full-service storage company designed to take the pain out of using a traditional self-storage unit by putting 'Your Closet in the Cloud.' The company also offers MakeSpace Air -- your closet in the cloud via mail. It's a way for customers to upload their physical belongings to MakeSpace through UPS. The company will pay for round trip shipping in exchange for an agreement of a six month contract. The company also plans to release an iPhone app this summer that allows customers to individually itemize everything in their bins. MakeSpace currently offers its local pickup and delivery service in New York City and plans to expand to additional cities on the East Coast by year end.
