Maker's Mark, a bourbon whiskey drink distilled by Bean, Inc., will stay at a 90-proof level. The company initially revealed plans to drop down to 84-proof, due to predicted supply shortages, but later reversed their announcement after the harsh reaction of customers.

In recent years the US has experienced a bourbon boom, but the rise in the popularity of bourbon has caused a supply shortage over at Maker's Mark. Because Maker's Mark is typically aged from five to six years, the company decided to come up with a quicker solution to its problem.
