Makayla Veenstra - Summer and Winter

Every day is she that barking dog and all I hear everyday is
“ bark, bark, bark, ” barked the dog and every day I would keep on
walking pass him. But, during the winter I would not hear the dog
but I would here nothing except a bird which made a noise “ chirp,
chirp, churn” and every summer for nine years I would here this
rhythm of bird, dog, bird, dog. But on a day the dog never barked
and the bird never chirped and everyday that house which this noise
came from rotted and rotted to the ground. So my thoughts is that
that dog and bird kept that house alive.
