ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Prashant is a doctor by profession, but has a deep passion for singing, music and creativity. He received formal training in music from his father, Shree Chander Mehta (AIR artist) and Ustaad Fareed Ahmad Khan Sahab (Kiranagharana). Prashant, a gifted singer, and stage performer, has done several stage shows and concerts, his genres being, mainly Hindi Rock and Sufi music. He is best known as the finalist of the music reality show, Channel V, Super Singer', where he drew accolades from some of the biggest names in the music industry, like Adnan Sami and AR Rehman, who judged the show. He has also received state awards and recognition for contribution in the field of music. His song ‘Aazaadi’ featured in the ‘DilkeeAawaaz’ CD by TATA INDICOM group. He has done opening acts for some of the biggest performers in the industry like KK, Sunidhi Chauhan, Euphoria, Indian Ocean and Parikrama.
