Maha: Will BJP settle for 125 seats?

The deadlock on seat sharing continues between the BJP and the Shiv Sena. With BJP's dismal performance in the by-elections it will be interesting to see whether BJP settle for 125 seats. The 25-year-old alliance of Shiv Sena and BJP has come under strain following BJP's announcement that seat-sharing talks had stopped as of now following Sena president Uddhav Thackeray's remarks 'against' Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Uddhav reacted saying he had said nothing demeaning against the Prime Minister but he also rejected BJP's demand for 135 seats instead of 117. There has been a deadlock over seat-sharing between the two parties for sharing the 288 state assembly seats for fighting the elections slated next month.
