The world we're in;
dark, unpleasant, dead;
makes me live in the dark;
doubting, hiding, and dreaming dreams that I've never dreamt before.

When I lay in bed;
I think about how I still have your blood stained on my hands;
all that killing and hatred done for you;
turned out to be for nothing.

My words whisper unheard pleas;
dissolving back into a sleepless night;
without you I'm not whole.

But because of the world I'm in;
I keep fighting;
with little hope left;
that you'll return to me.
