Madonna fans, get ready: Clothes, gowns and jewellery worn by the pop superstar will go under the hammer next month, in what's been described as the largest collection of Madonna memorabilia ever.
SOUNDBITE Executive director of Julien's Auctions, Martin Nolan, saying (English):
"So, this is the first time that such a collection of Madonna has come to the auction block. In fact, the next time that such a collection would come together would be if Madonna herself decided to have a sale."
More than 200 items, including the iconic outfits from the "Material Girl" music video and "A League of their Own" will be auctioned.
The whole lot is valued to sell at $500,000, a testament to her stratospheric career, which has led Forbes magazine to name her the highest-earning celebrity in 2013.
