Madhu Koda thrashed by jail authorities

Madhu Koda, lodged in Ranchi's Birsa Munda jail, was injured in lathi charge within the jail yesterday, following a brawl with other prisoners. He has been taken to a hospital with injuries to ribs and hand. Trouble started when Koda, lodged in the cell meant for VIP prisoners, sneaked into the area of other prisoners and sat on a dharna protesting the quality of food. He entered into an altercation with the general prisoners, forcing jail authorities to intervene and control the situation by lathi charge. Koda however said that he feared for his life within the jail.
