MacArthur Wants a Park!
Description
This video was from a 2007 drive to turn an abandoned parking lot and bowling alley on MacArthur Blvd in Springfield, IL into a City park. The idea was to help attract businesses and life back to a historical street as many leaving west, and the street was filling up with unsightly empty buildings. Especially with the city becoming a tourist destination, and MacArthur a main thoroughfare off highway 72 to the Lincoln Sites (and many people's first view of Springfield).
