Mac n Cheese

Description
Macaroni and Cheese or popularly known as mac n cheese was introduced as a side dish, but has gained so much popularity over the period of time that people love to include it as a main course as well.
Ingredients:
1 cup Macaroni
2 cups Milk
3 tsp Butter
1 tsp crushed Garlic (optional)
2 Tbsp Maida (All purpose flour)
100 gms Grated Cheddar Cheese
1 tsp mixed dried herbs
Crushed Red Chillies (As per taste)
Salt (To Taste)
For Garnish
10 Olives sliced
1/2 cup Bread crumbs
Procedure:
Pre heat the oven to 170°C for 15 mins.
For Macaroni:
1. Cook Macaroni as per packet instructions and line them in a baking tray.
For Cheese Sauce:
1. In a saucepan, heat 2 tsp butter and add the bread crumbs.
2. Fry them for 1 min and transfer them to a bowl and keep aside for later use.
3. In the same saucepan, heat the remaining butter and add the crushed garlic.
4. Once the garlic gets brown edges around it, add the flour/maida.
5. Cook it till flour/maida gets coated with butter and garlic.
6. Add the milk and keep on stirring until all the lumps disappear.
7. Once the milk is smooth, add the salt and cheese.
8. Stir until the sauce starts to thicken.
9. Now add the crushed red chillies and herbs.
10.Mix well. Your cheese sauce is now done. Yayyy!!!!
For Baking:
1. Add the olives over the macaroni.
2. Spread the cheese sauce evenly throughout the surface of the mac
3. Sprinkle the bread crumbs thoroughly over the mac n cheese.
4. Bake for 5-7 mins or till the top crust starts getting brown in a pre-heated oven.
Your mac n cheese is ready to be served. Enjoy it hot with some stir fried vegetable as sides.
