The music starts

I am alone with my pain

Each note
shaving a piece
from my heart

Each word
ripping through
my damaged soul

The music begins the build up

My eyes
well with tears

My chest
is growing tighter

The music swells and peaks

I close my eyes

One tear
slides
from the corner of my eye

The music starts the let down

I take in
a ragged and
difficult breath

The music fades out

I open my eyes

Exhausted
