Don't fall in love
with a beautiful mind

The brilliant ones
are always
flyers

You cannot bind them
or tie them down

They must be able to
soar with the
angels
or else
they will
die

You cannot ask them to stay
It would be like clipping the wings of a
butterfly

If you do fall in love
with a beautiful mind

Accept your place
on the ground

And love them as they
dance with the clouds
and slide on rainbows

Love them as they
leap from mountaintops
and skate the oceans

as the dolphins scream
his name
and they stars sing him
to sleep
